Houston Area Reports 820 Traffic Incidents on Monday, Including Multiple Fatalities

The Greater Houston area experienced a particularly challenging Monday on the roadways, with emergency responders handling 820 traffic incidents throughout the day, according to traffic reports. Of those incidents, 355 were classified as major crashes, while 465 were minor in nature. Harris County bore the brunt of the day's traffic problems, accounting for 754 of the 820 total incidents. Fort Bend County reported 49 incidents, while Montgomery County experienced 9 traffic events. Galveston and Waller counties recorded 6 and 2 incidents respectively. Additional major incidents included crashes at Harwin Drive, Howard Drive near the Gulf Freeway, and on Old Spanish Trail.
