Of those incidents, 517 were classified as major crashes, while 389 were minor incidents. The elevated activity stretched across multiple counties, with the vast majority of incidents concentrated in Harris County.

Harris County bore the brunt of the day's traffic challenges, accounting for 863 of the 906 reported incidents. Surrounding counties also experienced notable activity, including 37 incidents in Fort Bend County, 3 in Montgomery County, 2 in Galveston County, and 1 in Waller County. The late evening hours proved particularly problematic, with clusters of major accidents reported between 10:50 p.m. and 11:50 p.m., suggesting a period of heightened congestion or hazardous driving conditions.
