Nobility Dr crash; 45 incidents in 90 days

A major crash on Nobility Drive Wednesday morning sent at least one person to the hospital. The wreck happened at 10:53 AM on July 8, and responding officers cleared the scene after several hours.

Nobility Drive sits in a part of Harris County where crashes cluster far above typical residential rates. The timing pattern here is noteworthy: while crashes occur throughout the day and week, the single busiest hour is 11 AM to noon, when four crashes have been logged. Wednesdays are the corridor's heaviest day—11 incidents in the past 90 days. Today's incident fell within that peak window.

The most common contributing factor recorded by investigating officers is "Failed To Control Speed," cited in 38 of those crashes. Hit-and-run incidents account for 11.6 percent of all unit involvement at the location—28 of 241 vehicles involved in crashes here.

Weather was clear at the time of the incident, with temperatures near 91 degrees. Conditions did not appear to be a factor.
