Hit-and-runs account for 7.2% of incidents in the area—132 of 1,836 vehicles involved.

While crashes at this location occur throughout the day, LTA data shows the single busiest hour is 3–4 PM, when eight crashes have been recorded. However, incidents here don't concentrate in a single window; they're spread across varying times, making Friday morning's incident part of a broader pattern rather than an outlier.

The weather Friday morning was overcast and 84 degrees—conditions that wouldn't typically explain elevated crash risk. Yet the corridor's incident volume speaks to something consistent and systemic about how traffic moves through this intersection.
