Contributing factors as recorded by investigating officers, per TxDOT CRIS, show "Disregard Stop And Go Signal" as the leading factor, cited in 303 crashes at the location. Hit-and-runs account for 10.7 percent of incidents here—489 of the vehicles involved in crashes at Dennis and Louisiana.
