The Houston metropolitan area experienced a high volume of traffic incidents on Wednesday, with a total of 1,043 reported throughout the day. This includes 461 major crashes and 582 minor incidents, according to the latest data.

The majority of the incidents, 991, occurred in Harris County, with an additional 30 in Fort Bend County, 18 in Montgomery County, and 4 in Galveston County. Some of the more significant crashes included a multi-vehicle collision on the IH-69 Southwest Southbound at Dunlavy and a crash on 8388 Park Place Blvd, both classified as major incidents.

Other notable events included a report of a man in a black Chevrolet truck loitering in a back alley on Golden Forest Drive, as well as a two-car crash on W Gulf Bank Rd and W Sam Houston Pkwy N that resulted in one driver complaining of head pain. Authorities responded to these and numerous other incidents throughout the evening commute and into the late-night hours.
